Start with the decision your customer needs to make
A coffee grinder shop wants to be found for questions about espresso, noise and maintenance. An installer needs to explain which homes they serve, what determines a quote and how to prepare. “Make us visible in AI” becomes actionable when you identify these decisions.
Start with one important product area or service. Write down ten questions customers actually ask, drawing on conversations, internal site searches and enquiries. Group them into research, comparison and getting started. Beside each question, identify the existing page that should answer it.
If someone asks how quiet a grinder is, your own measurement with documented conditions is more useful than “whisper quiet”. If someone asks about installation costs, explain the price factors and exceptions. This creates information customers can verify and use.
Check that the information is accessible
Check the HTTP status, indexability and incoming internal links of your most important pages. A buying guide reachable only through a search field exposes a gap in your navigation. Add a relevant link from the category or service where the question arises.
SEO fundamentals still apply to Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Google does not require special GEO schema. Also check Settings > Search generative AI in Search Console to confirm inclusion; inclusion is the default and may be inherited from a parent property.
Review the mobile page too. A clear answer hidden behind a large popup does not help visitors. Keep essential explanations, prices and terms visible alongside the offer. Ask your website manager to investigate access or rendering problems by specific URL.
How we connect answers to your domainCreate an answer that supports a decision
Use a recognisable question as a heading, answer it, then explain the conditions. Add a comparison, original photo, worked example or decision rule if it makes choosing easier. A fixed length or a particular number of subheadings is not the objective.
For a coffee grinder, compare three uses: filter coffee, espresso and both. Explain the grind range and adjustment needed for each, which models fit and when a cheaper alternative is sufficient. Link to current product pages.
For a service business, a preparation guide is often more useful than a general blog post. What information is needed? Which situations require a site visit? What falls outside the service? A small choice guide can use those answers to direct visitors to the right enquiry.
When a calculator or choice guide helpsEstablish who is providing the answer
Connect the explanation to an identifiable business with current contact details and a clear approach. State who can review the content. Use real experience, your own product data and source references for external facts. Check the same information in relevant business profiles.
A practical check: compare your name, offer, service area and contact details across five important locations. Resolve contradictions. Start with outdated information that demonstrably misleads customers.
FAQs remain useful when they answer real questions. Google stopped showing FAQ rich results on 7 May 2026. Add questions for your visitors; an extra FAQ block is not a route to a promised enhanced search result.
Work with a small, verifiable improvement plan
Choose three unanswered questions that closely match your offer. Record the current situation, make the improvement and note when it went live. Save the questions and measurement settings for the next round. Compare mentions, source URLs and relevant visits separately.
After publishing, first check that the page is accessible, links work and information is correct. Then use repeated measurements to see what changes. An increase after an update is a signal to investigate; seasonality, other websites and changes to AI systems may also contribute.
Use the content planner to build a first cluster around your offer. The proposal helps organise pages and questions. Add your own search data and product knowledge before commissioning new pages.

Can I guarantee a mention in ChatGPT?
No. You can improve information and monitor results. The platform chooses the answer and sources it displays, which can vary by question and time.
Do I need WordPress for this?
No. The approach starts with your offer, information and accessible pages. We adapt the technical implementation to your existing website.
