What counts as a mention?

For each valid answer, record whether your business appears at least once. Three mentions in one answer therefore count as one answer with a mention. Exclude failed requests from the denominator and record them separately in your log.

Keep source links separate from name mentions. This calculator only works out the share within the answers you enter. It does not query an AI platform or assess a website.

What does the interval mean?

The result uses the two-sided 95% Wilson interval with z = 1.95996. The model assumes independent, comparable observations. A small sample usually gives a wider interval.

The interval does not correct for leading prompts, the wrong audience or repeated, nearly identical answers. Your question selection determines what the result applies to. This is not a score for your entire market or all AI platforms.

An example for comparison

With 24 answers mentioning the business out of 100 valid answers, the share is 24%. The Wilson interval is approximately 16.7% to 33.2%. More comparable observations generally narrow the statistical interval.
